Hello Everyone! We hope you are all doing well and continue to be in good health. It's been 2 years since we have released and updated our newsletter. And we know that you are all missing the fun of traveling.

Due to the pandemic, the past 2 years have been a very difficult time for everyone . Almost everyone have faced difficulties caused by the pandemic. Though for some people they found great opportunities during these trying times, most of us did suffer a lot of loss. One of the hardest hit industry during the pandemic is the travel industry.

Celebrated the 70th anniversary of the People's Republic of China on Oct 1, Chinese people, along with China's leadership, past and present, gathered in Tiananmen Square, the country's symbolic political heart, to watch the military parade of 15,000 troops and several sophisticated types of weapons.

 
     
  APRIL - MAY 2019
Bayannuur, a city in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, is famed for its Danxia landscape characterized by red cliffs.

Located in the city's Urad Rear Banner, the Danxia landform was formed by collisions of the Eurasian Plate, flowing water, and wind and gravity over the past tens of millions of years.

The 35th Harbin International Ice and Snow Sculpture Festival opened last January 05, with a theme "20-year Grand Ceremony & Review".

The festival, that runs until end of February features nearly 100 programs, events & activities for ice and snow tourism, culture, fashion, trade and sports.

The Changbai Mountain reserve, which sits between China and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, has long been a major summer and winter tourist destination.

Changbai Mountain (C6B), also known as Paektu Mountain, is the tallest in Northeast China.

 
     
  APRIL - JUNE 2018
Shuanghe Cave in Zunyi city in southwest China's Guizhou province has been named the longest cave in Asia, and the sixth-longest in the world, cave researchers announced at a press conference on March 24.

The latest research has shown that Shuanghe Cave in Wenquan township, Suiyang county is around 238.48 kilometers long, surpassing the previous longest cave in Asia, the Clearwater Cave in Malaysia.

 
     
  JANUARY - MARCH 2018
Recently, the General Office of CNTA issued a notice, identifying the year 2018 as “Beautiful China-Year of Region-based Tourism”. The slogans are “New Era, New Tourism, New Achievements”; “Region-based Tourism, Brand New Pursuit”.

Since 2013, all regions in China has launched tourism diplomacy and publicity events under the general theme of “Beautiful China” and the annual topics like “Year of Belt and Road Tourism”, etc.

Shanghai Disneyland will open a new themed area, the seventh at the park, by next summer as it strives to attract more visitors to its latest resort, which broke even in the first year of operation.

The newly added Toy Story Land marks the first expansion since the site's grand opening last June, demonstrating the company's confidence in China's growing demand for themed entertainment, Walt Disney Co announced on Thursday.

The United Nations World Tourism Organization, the UN agency overseeing thepromotionof responsible, sustainable and universally-accessible tourism, is to hold the 22nd of its biennial assemblies in Chengdu, Sichuan Province. Chengdu will be the second Chinese city to host the event, which previously came to Beijing in 2003. The 21st session, at which Chengdu was chosen by voting as the venue for 2017, was held in Medellin, Colombia.

At the 22nd session, the organization will elect a new secretary general, discuss the latest global developments in the tourist sector, and announce a new blueprint for the tourism industry.
 
     
  JULY 2017
To further enhance the image of China tourism, China National Tourism Administration headquarters has introduced a brand new promotional slogan “China – Beyond Your Imagination.”

2017 is the third consecutive year celebrating “Year of Silk Road Tourism,” and the theme slogan will continue to be “Explore Beautiful China along the Silk Road.

”The Silk Road is the world’s oldest, and most historically important overland trade route. The name evokes images of caravans wading through desert sand, and smells of exotic spices, and continues to fascinate travelers. Out of 50 UNESCO sites in China, 33 sites are along the route.

During May 28-31, 2017, “Beautiful China – Photo Show of 2017 Year of Silk Road Tourism”, which was organized by CNTA’s Office in Singapore and the Federation of Filipino Chinese Chambers of Commerce & Industry. lnc. (FFCCCII), was unveiled at the auditorium of FFCCCII and SM Mall of Asia. Over 200 persons from the Chinese Embassy in the Philippines, Chinese airlines and organizations of Filipino Chinese attended the opening ceremony. Chargé d'affaires He Xiangqi from the Chinese Embassy in the Philippines, Pasay City Mayor Antonino G. Calixto, Binando Tourism and Culture Administration Director General and FFCCCII President attended and addressed the opening ceremony.

 
     
  MAY 2017
Construction of the 2.74 kilometer Gongbei tunnel was completed on Monday in the Zhuhai Special Economic Zone, the final link that should enable the 50 km Hong Kong Zhuhai- Macao Bridge project to open before year's end.

Zhi Yufeng, chairman of Guangdong Nanyue Transportation Investment and Construction Co, said the Gongbei tunnel is a major component of the gigantic bridge, linking the three regions, located at the mouth of the Pearl River.


 
     
  APRIL 2017
The opening ceremony of the China - ASEAN tourism cooperation year took place at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) on the evening of March 16, local time. China Premier Li Keqiang and Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte sent congratulation letters. Chinese Vice Premier Wang Yang and Philippine

Secretary of Tourism Wanda Corazon Teo read the letters and delivered an address respectively. Chairman of China National Tourism Administration (CNTA) Li Jinzao presided over the opening ceremony.

China’s new Wenchang Satellite Launch Center on the island Province of Hainan hosted last year the debuts of the massive Long March 5 and Long March 7 rockets. During this year’s Spring Festival, it also saw a surge in tourism.

The country’s three older launch sites- Jiuquan, Taiyuan and Xichang - were constructed in the interior during the Cold War and facilitate mostly closed-off launches. Now, China is starting to open

  FEBRUARY 2017
Capable of housing 20 Sydney Opera Houses or three Pentagons in its staggering 1.7 million squaremetre interior the New Century Global Centre in Chengdu made by Shenzhen Zhongshen Architects Designing. The contruction started on 2010 and completed on 2013, and It is fully operational now.

The colossal 18-storey glass and steel superstructure has a wavy roof and is built above a new metro station. The building is 500 metres long, 400 metres wide and stands 100 metres high.


 
     
  JANUARY 2017
The city of Harbin in China's frigid northeast is hosting one of the world's largest festivals featuring ice and snow sculptures, carvings and a lot of ice and snow activities.

The festival, officially opened January 5, 2017 but opened to the public last December in time for Christmas and New Year holidays that drew more than a million visitors. It showcases the region's tradition of snow and ice carvings.

The sculptures range from animals and cartoon characters to replicas of famous world monuments and landscapes, as well as a 340-metre (1,115-feet)-long slide that state media say took around 500 builders to complete.

With its outstanding architecture, the Harbin Grand Theatre is the new highlight in the city of Harbin in north China. The building, which was designed by MAD Architects from Beijing, was recently chosen from 3,000 projects which emerged in 2015 as cultural building of the year 2015 by 55,000 readers of the prestigious ArchDaily.

Once again, Harbin owe it to the outstanding work of Chinese importer Shanghai MYC that products from Kling & Freitag are used in such an important installation in the Middle Kingdom. The concept for the sound system in the large hall with 1,600 seats is also something special.

The Museum of Qin Terracotta Warriors and Horses in the central China city of Xi’an was ranked by TripAdvisor as the highest quality museum in Asia for 2016. The UNESCO World Heritage site contains life-sized statues of more than 8,000 soldiers, 130 chariots, 520 horses and 150 cavalry horses; and dates back to the third century BC. The TripAdvisor ranking is based on user reviews and ratings over the past 12 months.

Tourists visiting Chongqing in China can now explore an underground nuclear base, dubbed the world's largest manmade cave at a size of 1.1-million

China International Travel Mart (CITM) is universally acknowledged as the largest professional travel mart in Asia, which has drawn worldwide attention from people in
the tourism industry. As an annual event, it is generally held in Shanghai and Kunming on an alternate basis.

Administration of China and Shanghai Municipal People’s Government, is schedules

In order to boost all-round, multi-channel and high level mutual learning, cultural exchanges and cooperation among countries and regions along the Silk Road, carry on the Silk Road spirit of “peace and cooperation, openness and inclusiveness, mutual learning and mutual benefit”, the “Silk Road (Dunhuang) International Cultural Expo” will be held on September 20-21, 2016 in Dunhuang City, Gansu Province.

The Expo is jointly sponsored by the People’s Government of Gansu Province, the Ministry of Culture, the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television, the National Tourism

UNESCO has decided to add an area of rich biological diversity found in Hubei province to its World Heritage List. The 40th session of the World Heritage Committee held in Istanbul decided to grant the prestigious honor to Shennongjia as a natural site.

“Shennongjia has been a place of significant scientific interest, particularly for botanists, and the mountains have featured prominently in the history of botanical inquiry,”

The breath-taking observation deck opened to the public on May 1 and has quickly drawn the attention of daredevil tourist. The world’s largest glass viewing platform is located in the Stone Forest Gorge, northeast Beijing and its “flying saucer” section extend over 32 meters and provides those brave enough with 416 square meters of glass viewing platform to confidently stride across.

A new transparent viewing platform suspended at 1,300 feet high in Beijing has become a tourist hot spot as visitors flock to walk or do push-ups on the glass panes.

A 100-day countdown for the Group of 20 (G20) 2016 summit was aunched on Friday in Hangzhou, capital of east China's Zhejiang Province. More than 5,000 staff and volunteers preparing for the meeting attended the countdown launch event in Huanglong Stadium. World leaders including Chinese President Xi Jinping and US President Barack Obama will attend this year's meetings on September 4th and 5th.

G20 is the most representative grouping of the world's major economies. China holds the G20 presidency this year and 66 G20 conferences will be held in 20 Chinese cities with Hangzhou as the major host


 
     
  APRIL 2016
Shanghai Disney Resort will feature classic Disney storytelling and characters blended with all-new experiences tailored specifically for the people of China. The resort will include two themed hotels –Shanghai Disneyland Hotel and Toy Story Hotel; Disneytown – a large retail, dining and entertainment venue, and the immersive magical Shanghai Disneyland. The resort will be located in the Pudong District of Shanghai and will open its doors on June 16, 2016.

The six themed lands will include Adventure Isle, Gardens of Imagination, Mickey Avenue,Tomorrowland, Treasure Cove and Fantasyland, with its Enchanted Storybook Castle. MickeyAvenue is the first main entry at a Disney park to be inspired by the colorful personalities ofMickey Mouse and his pals.

China will build a second railway connecting Tibet with other parts of the country,
expanding its connectivity with the Himalayan region.

The railway will be built between Tibet Autonomous Region's capital city Lhasa and Chengdu, capital of Sichuan Province, in southwest China, according to the draft outline of the 13th Five-Year Plan (2016-2020) on national economy and social development submitted to the national legislature for examination.

The plan is to be implemented from this year after its approval. The new rail line is in additionto the Qinghai - Tibet Railway linking Tibet with inland regions of China.


 
     
  FEBRUARY 2016
Chinese President Xi Jinping gave a speech in Seattle announcing the launch of a “Chinese-U.S. Tourism Year” for 2016. Li Jinzao, chairman of the China National Tourism Administration (CNTA) vowed to work with leaders in both countries to make the year of tourism a success. Tourism between the two countries continues to grow, with 250 million visitors between China and the U.S. in the past eight years, and an increase of 7.6% year over year.

The number of tourists traveling between the two countries currently exceeds four million a year; Li said he hopes to see that number top five million a year soon.


 
     
  JANUARY 2016
The next big Walt Disney Co. theme park expansion -- The Shanghai Disney Resort -- now has a grand opening date: June 16, 2016.

The only Disney theme park on mainland China had originally been scheduled to open in December 2015, but was delayed because Disney and its Chinese partner, the Shanghai Shendi Group, invested an additional $800 million to add more attraction. When it opens, the $5.5-billion Shanghai resort will be Disney’s second-largest theme park, behind only its resort in Orlando, Florida.
